Can I hire with more than 1 friend?
Yes of course! The JM Formal discount is applicable on groups of 2 of more friends attending the same school formal.
Do we have to be attending the same formal?
Yes, you and your friend(s) must be hiring a dress for the same formal to be eligible for the JM Formal discount.
We are booking a try on appointment to find the perfect formal dress and want to use the discount, do we need to add this to our booking?
You’re welcome to DM, text, or email us before your appointment to let us know that you and your friend would like to use the JM Formal discount together. This allows us to arrange everything in advance and ensure all details are ready for your visit. Alternatively, simply let us know when you arrive in store, and we’ll take care of it for you.
Is the JM Formal discount code advertised publicly?
No, to ensure clarity and eligibility across all bookings, a personalised JM Formal discount code is issued for each formal. Your code is uniquely linked to your school name and formal date within our system. It may be shared with other friends attending the same formal should they also wish to hire a dress, even after you and your friend(s) secured your own booking. This ensures the offer remains exclusive and is only redeemed by eligible clients.
If we come in store for a try on, but need more time before booking our hires, what do we do?
You’re more than welcome to take time to decide after your try on appointment, just as you would with any standard appointment. When you’re ready to proceed, we’ll provide you and your friend(s) with a personalised JM Formal discount code to use online, allowing you to secure your hire at your convenience.
Can we book our hires online without coming to try on, and still be eligible for the discount together?
Yes, you’re welcome to secure your hires online if you don’t need, or aren’t able, to try on in store. Simply send us a DM, text, or email with you and your friends’ names, your formal date and school, and your selected dresses so we can confirm availability. Once approved, you and your friend(s) will receive a personalised JM Formal discount code. The code will be valid for 48 hours, allowing all friends to complete their individual hire bookings online. Each hire must be placed under the individual client’s name for security and booking accuracy.
Do our hire bookings need to be picked up/delivered together?
No, each hire is processed as a separate booking, as we require individual contact and identification details for every client. This allows each client the flexibility to select their own preferred pickup day and time, or individual delivery address if applicable.
Can more of our friends hire after we have booked and use the discount?
Absolutely! If additional friends decide to hire after you’ve secured your booking, simply let us know and we’ll provide them with the same personalised JM Formal discount code. The more the merrier, and the more glamorous ✨
What if we want to hire together, but try on at different times?
No problem, you can still secure your hires and enjoy the discount even if your try on appointments are at different times or booked online. Just send us a DM, email, or text with all friends’ names and appointment times before your appointments. Once all friends have tried on and confirmed their chosen dresses, we’ll issue your personalised JM Formal discount codes, ensuring everyone can redeem the offer seamlessly.
My friend and I want to hire together, but we’re booking separately, what if one of us changes our mind after the first booking?
If one friend has already secured their hire using the personalised JM Formal discount code but the other decides not to proceed, the initial booking will revert to the full hire price. You would then be required to pay the difference between the discounted and full price hires, unless another friend from the same formal steps in to book a hire, therefore keeping the JM Formal discount eligible for your booking. This ensures the offer remains exclusive and fairly applied.
Will the appointment fee be deducted off the hire price if the JM Formal discount is applied to my hire booking?
Yes, your $15 appointment fee will be deducted from the hire price as usual, after the JM Formal discount has been applied. For example, if your chosen dress has a hire price of $100, the 20% JM Formal discount reduces it to $80. Your $15 appointment fee is then applied, leaving just $65 to secure your booking.
Please note, the appointment fee can only be deducted on the same day as your try on appointment, per our usual terms and conditions. We highly recommend booking your appointment alongside your bestie so you can try on, book together in store, and enjoy both the JM Formal discount and appointment fee deduction.
